Meals on Wheels in a unique humanitarian program inspired by the desire to help solve the problems of elderly and handicapped people. Many people are able to live more independently in their homes with just a little outside help such as nourishing food from Meals on Wheels. Issues of shopping and cooking no longer present problems.
Inability to prepare or provide your own meals is the only qualification for participation in the program. Upon request for Meals on Wheels, an intake worker will determine with you your eligibility for the program.
Meals on Wheels costs $30 per week for delivery of hot and cold meals Monday through Friday, including holidays, year round. We are unable to provide special diets at this time.
Meals are prepared and delivered from the kitchens of three sponsoring churches: Second Presbyterian, Trinity Baptist, and Trinity Hill United Methodist. Each church serves a specific geographic area in Fayette County.
